Das Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman Phone kommt – aber nicht zu uns…

Heimlich, still und leise hat Sony Ericsson mit dem W8 die neue Walkman Generation vorgestellt. Es gab zwar schon erste Hinweise, das da was kommt, allerdings mit der Bezeichnung W15. Ähnlich wie das X8 bietet das W8 folgende technische Ausstattung:

  • Android 2.1 Eclair
  • 3″ TFT Display mit 320 x 480 Pixel
  • 128 MB interner Speicher
  • microSD Speicherkarten bis 16 GB
  • 3,2 Megapixel Kamera
  • FM Radio mit RDS
  • WLAN
  • Bluetooth
  • GPS
  • 99 x 54 x 15 mm
  • 104 g

In China, Hong Kong, Indonesien, Indien, Malaysia, Philippinen, Singapur, Taiwan, Thailand und Vietnam soll es noch im 2. Quartal erhältlich sein.

Die Farben: Azur, Metallic Red und Walkman Orange

Das W8 kommt nur in Asien auf den Markt:

We can confirm that the W8 Walkman phone will be avilable in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. The Walkman branding and the legacy from previous Walkman phones is very strong in these particular markets and therefore we decided to launch the phone in these markets.“
