Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread verfügbar (inkl. Download und Changelog)

Google hat ziemlich überraschend das Update auf Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread freigegeben.

Erhältlich ist es bereits für das Nexus One und Nexus S.

Hauptmerkmal der neuen Version ist der integrierte Videochat, der sowohl über WLAN als auch UMTS/ HSDPA funktionieren soll.

Aber auch Google Maps 5.1 mit 3D, Voice Search 2.1.1 sowie eine neue Version von Google Books sind an Bord..

Innerhalb der nächsten Wochen soll dieses Update dann auch für andere Geräte erhältlich sein.

Wer ein Nexus S oder One besitzt und nicht warten will, kann es hier direkt runterladen und installieren:

Firmware runterladen -> Download
In den Root des internen Speichers kopieren
Handy ausschalten und durch drücken der Tasten „Laustärke hoch“ und „Power“ in den Bootloader starten
Mit den Lautstärketasten zum Punkt „Recovery“ gehen und mit der Power-Taste auswählen
Sobald man das gelbe Dreieck sieht die Tasten „Power“ und „Lautstärke hoch“ drücken und aus der Liste das Update auswählen
