Kennt jemand noch die Route 66 Navi? War früher einmal bei Symbian neben TomTom das meistgenutzte (und auch gecrackte) Navi-App. Jetzt ist es wieder da und weil es total hipp ist auch in einer Android Version. Ganz neu, viele neue Funktionen aber auch ziemlich hochpreisig. Hier eine kurze Zusammenfassung der Infos. Der ausführliche Test folgt die Tage.
Bereits im Februar sind erste Videos der Android Version zu sehen gewesen und nun hat es die App auch in den Android Market geschafft. Die Funktionen sind vielfältig, wobei man sich ganz heftig auf Augmented Reality konzentriert. Gerade diese Art der Routenführung ist laut route66.com die Zukunft. - Follow Me: dabei „fährt“ ein Auto voraus die Route und man folgt diesem in der Reality
- 3D Karten mit POI in 3D, Karten von über 100 Ländern mit Stand Oktober 2011

Bis Ende Dezember kann man die App vor dem Kauf mitsamt allen Zusatzfunktionen 30 Tage lang kostenlos testen. Wer es sie dann kauft hat lebenslang Zugriff auf Kartenupdates.
