Nachdem Google das Nexus 7 vorgestellt hat, wird es die Konkurrent im Segment der 7-Zöller verdammt schwer haben noch einen Fuß auf den Boden zu bekommen. 199 € soll es bei uns in der 8GB Ausführung kosten. Allerdings weiß noch niemand, wann es denn wirklich kommt. Diese Lücke könnte vorerst Acer mit dem neuen Iconia Tab A110 ausfüllen, dem Nachfolger des A100. Dieses ist nun bei der US-Zulassungsbehörde FCC aufgeschlagen und somit steht der Verkaufsstart unmittelbar bevor.

Wenn man diese Daten mit denen des Nexus 7 vergleicht, dann könnte auch ein A110 auf den ersten Blick den Kürzeren ziehen. Das Nexus taktet mit 1,3 GHz kann aber beim Display mit 1280 x 800 Pixel glänzen. Auch bei der vorinstallierten Android Version ist man mit dem Nexus 7 und seinem 4.1 Jelly Bean aktueller.

Allerdings punktet das Acer mit seinen Anschlüssen und Erweiterungen.

Da beide auch beim Preis von $199 auf einer Höhe liegen wird am Ende eigentlich nur die Frage entscheidend sein, welche Anschlüsse einem wichtig sind…
