Nachdem Motorola vor wenigen Tagen bei einem Presseevent mit dem RAZR HD, RAZR HD MAXX und das RAZR M gleich drei neue Droid RAZR Modelle vorgestellt hat (wir berichteten) wird man nun das RAZR HD auch nach Deutschland bringen und es gibt ein erstes Videos zum Launch einer weiteren Neuheit am 18. September 2012.

Heute hat Motorola in einer Pressemitteilung bekannt gegeben, dass das RAZR HD ab Oktober Exklusiv in Deutschland bei o2 vertrieben wird. Der UV Preis soll 549,- Euro exklusive Mehrwertsteuer betragen. Falls es sich nicht um einen Irrtum handelt, könnte das HD mit Mehrwertsteuer um die 650,- Euro kosten. Aber erst einmal abwarten was dann o2 dann als Preis Letzt endlich angeben wird. Nur zum Vergleich der härteteste Mitbewerber im Smartphone Markt, das Samsung Galaxy S3 kostet derzeit bei o2MyHandy 601,- Euro Ohne Vertrag. Zu welchem Zeitpunkt das RAZR HD im Oktober zu o2 kommen wird, ist noch unklar. Ebenfalls noch unklar ist wie lange die o2 Exklusivität andauern wird.

Das RAZR HD und die anderen beiden erwarteten RAZR Modelle, sind die Konsequente Weiterentwicklung des im letzten Jahr Weltweit neu eingeführten Motorola RAZR und dem vor wenigen Monaten auch in Europa eingeführten RAZR MAXX. Unteranderem ist die neueste Generation des RAZR noch Hochwertiger Verarbeitet, die Gehäuse Rückseite wird weiterhin durch ein widerstandsfähiges Kevlar Material geschmückt. Die Gehäuse Tiefe beträgt nun 8,4 mm, etwas mehr als beim ersten RAZR Smartphone, aber dafür ohne Kamerahügel.

Wer mehr Festeingebauten Speicher benötigt muss darauf hoffen das Motorola das RAZR HD MAXX zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt ebenfalls hier in Deutschland anbietet, den dies besitzt nicht nur einen größeren 3300 mAh Akku, sondern auch mit 32 GB einen größeren Internen Speicher. Ob das RAZR HD auch in Deutschland den schnellen LTE Funkstandard unterstützt, ist noch unklar.

Zum Marktstart wird das RAZR HD noch mit Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich ausgeliefert. Die Änderungen die Motorola am Android System vorgenommen hat sind dabei sehr gering und halten sich sehr nah an den Google vorgaben. Zudem wartet neueste RAZR Generation mit neuen Software Funktionen auf, unteranderem mit dem Motorola eigenen Circle Widget, das Urzeit, Wetter, Einstellen und eingehende Nachrichten vereint. Wann ein Update auf Android 4.1 Jelly Bean auch für Deutschland kommen wird, ist noch unklar.
