Samsung Galaxy Note – Android 4.0 wird verschoben und S Pen aufgebohrt

Im Moment krebse ich ja mit einem Galaxy Nexus durch die Lande und sehne mich nach meinem Galaxy Note, welches ich gerade an Markus verliehen habe. Eigentlich sollte das Update auf Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich so langsam verteilt werden, aber nun wurde es nach hinten verschoben. Aber bevor jetzt jemand vor Wut in den Schreibtisch beißt, sollte man in Ruhe weiterlesen. Denn Samsung bringt mit dem Update auch ein ziemlich nettes Update des S Pen App.

Wobei ich mittlerweile gar nicht mehr so scharf auf ICS bin. Auf dem Nexus ist es ja installiert und mittlerweile bin ich davon nicht mehr so überzeugt. Sieht zwar ganz toll aus, aber in meinem Alltag fehlen einige kleine Helferlein wie z.B. die Toggles in der Nachrichtenleiste. Das Update für das Galaxy SII wird ja seit gestern auch bei uns verteilt und auch dort sind viele eher frustriert als glücklich. Samsung hat es mit seiner TouchWiz Oberfläche echt geschafft, das man von ICS so gut wie nichts mehr sieht…

Wir Note Besitzer müssen uns jetzt noch ein wenig gedulden, denn jetzt wird das Update in das 2. Quartal verschoben. Also April bis Ende Juni. Allerdings verspricht uns Samsung vor allem für S Pen einige entscheidende Verbesserungen die dann in einer Premium Suite der App gipfelt. Natürlich für umme und gleich mit an Bord. In dem Video könnt ihr es euch schon mal anschauen. Und ganz ehrlich. Bisher habe ich es kaum genutzt, aber das könnte sich bei mir ändern. Wenn denn alles so funktioniert wie im Video sehen.

It includes extra multimedia features and a range of new S Pen optimized applications in addition to an OS upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Premium Suite offers new features and applications exclusive to GALAXY Note and its innovative S Pen, which includes S Note, a unique tool that lets you combine your notes or sketches with other digital content, giving you a new way to create your own stories. S Note comes in various ready-to-use templates for a range of tasks including meeting minutes, diary and others.

S Note also includes the innovative Shape Match and Formula Match applications that help correct and digitize geometric shapes and even solve numeric formulas hand-drawn with S Pen, increasing your on-the-go efficiency and productivity. You can draw tables and grids which are instantly digitized, saving time and effort. Moreover, by using the S Note’s integrated knowledge search engines, users can quickly search, and obtain information.

For a touch of self-expression, the Premium Suite also includes My Story, another S Pen optimized application that allows you to create personalized digital cards for friends or family using any type of content including notes, video content, photos, text or voice.
