T-Mobile USA hat über das eigene Supportforum bekannt gegeben, das das lang erwartete Update auf Android 2.2 Froyo nun ausgerollt wird.
Leider nur an US-Geräte.
Wann es nach Deutschland kommt, ist leider unklar, eine Anfrage bei Motorola wartet auf Antwort.
Es ist 112 MB groß und sollte daher per WLAN herunter geladen und installiert werden.

Motorola and T-Mobile are happy to announce the Android 2.2 (Froyo) software update is now available for the Motorola DEFY.
To get this optional update, use your phone to manually check for an update and begin the Over-The-Air software update process.
Important: The file size of this software update is approximately 112MB. To avoid potential data usage charges, please use a Wi-Fi connection to fully download the software update.
In addition to updating the platform version to Android 2.2, additional enhancements are included with this update. For information on what’s included, please visit: Release Notes
Wie verschiedene Quellen berichten, hat Motorola damit angefangen, das Update nun auch in Europa auszuliefern. Im Moment scheint es in Frankreich verteilt zu werden.
Wann es jetzt endlich auch bei uns so weit sein wird, ist nach wie vor unbekannt.
Mit meinen Tests will ich den "normalen" Interessenten davor bewahren, sein hart verdientes Geld für Müll auszugeben. Denn leider ist es Fakt, das nicht alles Gold ist, was glänzt. Daher gibt es von mir kein Technik-Chinesisch oder Marketing Gelaber, sondern Klartext.
