Nachdem sich LG wohl vorerst von Windows Phone als Betriebssystem verabschiedet (wir berichteten), viele auf das, laut Siri, beste Smartphone der Welt, das Lumia 900 wartet, stellt uns Samsung dessen neuesten Spross vor. Das Omnia M GT-I8350. Anhand der Daten kann man davon ausgehen, das es sich hierbei um den direkten Nachfolger des Omnia 7 handelt. Denn es ist nicht nur optisch dem 7er sehr ähnlich. Hier findet ihr alle Infos und jede Menge Skepsis gegenüber dieser Neuheit.

Leider sind derzeit keinerlei Preise oder ein Release-Termin bekannt.

Android Nutzer werden bei diesen Daten sicher nur müde lächeln, aber wer mal über den Tellerrand schaut und sich mal mit einem Windows Phone Gerät beschäftigt, wird sehr schnell merken, das es nicht mehr an Leistung braucht und trotzdem den selben Spaß bringt (oder vielleicht sogar noch mehr).

Aber eines ist merkwürdig…das Omnia 7 (Datenblatt) konnte seinerzeit mit 16 GB internen Speicher aufwarten. Beim Omnia M ist nur noch 1/4 davon übrig und microSD Slot gibt es auch nicht. Also ein schlechter Nachfolger weil ansonsten bis auf die Abmessungen und Gewicht alles gleich ist?

Jetzt mal ganz ehrlich Samsung. Was sollte mich dazu bewegen dieses Gerät zu kaufen, wenn demnächst auch das Omnia 7 ein Update auf das Mango bekommen soll und dieses für rund 380 € erhältlich ist. Wenn, dann nur über den Preis. Und der müsste dann im Bereich von 240 € liegen, denn für 220 € bekomme ich schon ein Samsung Omnia W (i8350), welches mehr Speicher bietet, mit 3,7″ etwas kleiner aber dafür die gleiche Displaytechnik und einen 1,4 GHz Prozessor bietet.

Keine Ahnung, was man sich da bei Samsung gedacht hat…
